Well,that drawing is of a God called Karthikeya alias Murugan.well,I don't know abt the statue in Malaysiabut he is said 2 be the son of Shiva n Parvati.
In hinduism there are actually three main Gods-Brahma,Vishnu and Maheshwara.These three gods are said to encompass the whole universe.And then there are Gods 4 every single element.That actually makes up about 33crore Gods. And 4 each new thing,there's a God.Its very huuuuge
Actually we believe that the grace or the presence of the Gods get embedded in a stone statue that are created by the sculptors after performing rites n rituals.
And howz life these days..........??
