I'm researching a Japanese Tattoo. (I'm 1/2 Japanese "Nisei") but I was never really taught any Japanese by my father. Could you help me?

I'm looking to translate these phrases into their Japanese Kanji counterparts:

"Inner Strength" -as in strength from within. Not physical strength.

"Inner Peace" -to mean calm and peaceful being.

"Determined" -as in having self discipline and fortitude.

"Never gives up" -as in the continuous and never-ending fight/struggle in life.

"Kawakami" -my last name (surname).
