I made like conversations, I hope it could help. In these Q/A you can understand the difference between every sentence, I ask you to not try to understand a languages by another or by translation, it's an universal advice that we hear all the time from teachers but I am not a teacher !!
![]() Q : What's Mustafa? A : Mustafa (is) a man = مصطفى رجل Q : Who is Mustafa? A : Mustafa is the manI am talking about مصطفى هو الرجل Q : Are you talking about Mustafa the man or Mustafa the name? A : I am talking about Mustafa the man = مصطفى الرجل هو is translated "is" in the sentence, because it can have the meaning of "is", and about THE : ال+رجل = THE+man Your questions are welcome ![]()

THANKS VERY VERY VERY MUCH!
And one more thing to ask(if there isn't a problem) So When we say This is a house, we say like this:"Hada baitun", or "hada baitu" And when we say "This is THE house", we say like this "hada albaitu" or "hada baitun".I'm asking this, because in different Student books I met this in wrriten different ways. Sorry if the questions are little stupid but I obviously have some problems with the understanding of some rules. ![]() ![]() |

I think that Meriem is answering your question, so I won't answer it myself. But if you wish, you can look at this thread I make, it is about vocalization of the noun. Don't hesitate if you have any questions!

Your questions are not stupid at all, they are your way to understand !! the only problem is that the translation word by word is not working
![]() the translation between () is the exact one : Just imagine you don't need to say "is" all the time. This is a house = Hada(This) baitun(a house) this is a house of .. = hadha(this) baitu(house of) ... this is (the) house of Mustafa = hadha(this) baitu(house of) Mustafa This is THE house = hadha(this) hua (is) albaitu (the house) And as I said, just ask ![]()
