I was going to continue posting information on how to find source of Arabic language learning tools, but then I had a thought. Not many of you are probably like myself; perhaps I'm wrong. I learn as a hobby in my extreme part time, that is, between university and a full on life generally. So I thought, that if I post about things such as the google translation tool (very useful and free), no one will really care :P
This made me curious as to how other are learning this language in their own way at this time. Teaching yourself with free sources (Online/library books) Teaching yourself with books/tapes (Purchased anywhere) Learning as a course (University/young student/part time hobby) Here for translations/very small number of basic phrases (A keen dabbler) Native speaker Perhaps I should add more options :P Let me know if I missed any. |

Also I have a some arabic friends but I have only a few occasions to speak with them "live"...so I try to learn by myself from the books and forums...it´s good but I miss the pronunciation here :-(. Than sometimes I can watch Al-Arabia or Al-Jazira TV, itś useful for having it "in ear"....Anyway I hope one day I will be able to speak at least a little this nice language...and hope to visit some middle east country very soon :-)....Insh Allah

I`m learning with a native teacher, some books... but I don't have too much time and what I really miss are arabic films subtitled, songs (with the text). Something to watch late at night (to get asleep) or to listen while running
Does anybody know how (where) to get that stuff? |

Like Abu dana, I prefer books and on computer cause it is more quietly in my house and in my rate.
Actually, I think that one progresses more in contact with the others. m'a salama. |
