don't worry guys you're not ruining my thread, I'm here to answer your questions afterall, I will add some more phrases tonight!
Abu_dana, aren't Kazak people muslims or majority of them at least?
if so it wouldn't be strange for both Arabs and kazaks to share the same word

I have another question, Salim
Is it correct to say kayf el a7wal, as abu dana mentions above ?
(it's not that I doubt your knowledge of arabic, ya abu dana, but I just want to make sure that I learn it correctly) We learned in school 'kayf el 7al', so I got a bit confused.

Shokran in advance, ya Salim !

Hi Nadine ... may I answer your question ?? That is if Salim doesn't mind

Yes it is correct to say Kayf el a7wal as abu dana mentioned ... * A7wal is the plural of 7al* and there is no harm in using both expressions. kayf el7al .. and/or kayf ela7wal ??

First of all, I want to remind abu dana that the way I'd spell Nadine is:
نادين

As for you hesitation yaa Nadine between anti and anta, is it that you doubt about abu_dana's gender?! Ahem..He is an "anta" if that was what you asked about!

As for kayfa al 7awaal, it's correct. You can use it for a change

Sho akhbaarak/akhbaarek isn't fus7a as abu dana guessed.

Did I miss anything?

For chatting in Arabic, I never tried the chat room here with Arabic, but I don't think that it's possible there!
You can use msn or yahoo instead, both support Arabic if you are it installed at your computer.

I suggest that you can open a free thread for chatting whenever some of us are around, and you want to write fully in Arabic. We'll be glad to help correcting :-)

Yes, Salim, we are Muslims in Kazakhstan, and of course, there are other religions. I think Tatars is the northernmost Muslim nation on Earth. And they have pretty big vocabulary of Arabic words, bigger than ours even.

I was just looking into big dictionaries, that's why I found these numerous words on everything like "how are you". Another nice thing I like with Arabic is that it's got root based dictionaries.
It's another unique character of Arabic.

I don't like chatting too much, because I end up paying for this incoming and outgoing traffic of our internet service provider who keeps charging us more and more!!!
