I ponder about some forms of the verbs.

What does fx kattabahu mean?

Are you sure it takes two t?

Other wise: kataba + hu
kataba = he wrote
hu = affixe pronoun 3rd person singular masculine.

Thus, it means "he wrote it"

I have read that there are some various forms of the verbs.

For example, hamala means to carry, while hammala means to load.

Yes, but I checked kattaba in my dicctionary, and it doesn't exist.
Usually, when the second consonant is dobble, it means "to make happen -the verb-".

Ex.: darasa = to learn, to study. darrasa = to teach (to make learn).

I don't what to mean anything, I'm trying to answer arabian's question

He wanted to know what kattabahu meant. I told him it was probably katabahu. Then, he gave me an example of a verb where the second consonant is doubled (wazan II if I'm not mistaken), and I gave him other example, but saying that "kattaba" itself did not exist (as far as I am concern - along with my good arabic dictionary)... But perhaps with new technology we could find use for this word, as you suggested

And in this case, "kattabahu" means "made him write".
Ex : kattabahu ismahu = Made him write his name.

I don't quit know if it's used.

What's the whole sentence Arabien? Because it can make difference.
