There is a very good small book I once bought and have right in front of me, called The 21st Century Dictionary of Quotations. It is great!

Has hundreds of quotes that make you think and written by all kinds of people like famous writers, essayists, artists, actors, etc. It was Edited by The Princeton Language Institute. You may find on Google to buy or at a local book store.

Everyone should read this and have as a good reference. Says Innovative, uniquely designed and user friendly.
