Smoking is bad but why do we still do it??

Everyone knows smoking is unhealthy and can cause lung cancer. It can also kill you but why do we still do it even though we know all this???

Just wanted to know some of you guys responses.

it is just a habit ,i think.everyone know that giving up habits are so difficult.And people who smoke think that it makes people relax.(....i am not sure about it,i think ,this feeling is psychologic...) that is why people can not give up it.Mostly,it is taking over.

That's true. It's really difficult to quit especially if you're stressed out. Alot of people smoke more during winter, I was one of them. I smoke because it was not only a habit but it was hard to especially since all my friends smoke. The gum and patches to me I do not think it works at all. Its all about your mind and if you really want to quit.

That's true. Habit is a habit. To get rid of it you need to be strong and willing as hell! It can be hard, yeah, but worth tryin'

OK i smoke and love it if i could id smoke in my sleep i ENJOY IT. it is soothing.

oh and as for the whole its bad for you......WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK AIR IS? chemicals

ok if not air than water? THATS BAD ALL THE CHEMICALS HUMAN OR NATURAL YOUR GOVERNMENT PUT CHEMICALS IN TO WATER AND FILTRATION THAT THEY DO......DOESNT GET RID OF EVERYTHING

how about food? AGAIN THATS BAD ALL THE CHEMICALS HUMAN OR NATURAL

and the sun? again bad for you

altho the earth is life sustanable doesnt mean what sustains you is good for you
