I've seen you've posted several articles before. I'd like to read those articles. However, when I clicked on the link, like before, it just directed me to your forum, not to any specific article. When I tried to click on the links in your website, it required me to register and log in, which is uncommon and unnecessary for most websites. So, I'm puzzled.

It depends...

In a country where there is little or no control over the population or no enforcement of the law (I specifically did not use the word respect) then capital punishment is the only effective means of keeping order. However, this is not an ideal system-surely if the law is just it should not have to be enforced to these extremes? Eventually if this is the only means of control then you create an order based on fear (this is common amongst dictatorships e.g Hussein's Iraq, Stalin's Russia.) Eventually this climate becomes unsustainable so the law should always aim to find alterior ways of enforcing the law through respect and mutual trust.

PS the idea that your own state has the power to kill you and call it legal would be pretty scary don't ya think?

I do not personally support it because I do not want to play god with ANYONES life. There are vile and horrid "people" in the world. This does not mean that I get to pick and choose who lives and who dies. I do however belive in self defense and you better belive if some creep tried something Id try to kill him/her.
There is a question of strain on the systems of a country if all these creeps are to be supported in prison and kept alive....This may be alliviated with a few choice deductions in the funding of these institutions.
Get rid of the gravy.... Even if at times this makes the prison system a little less humane.
An inhumane prision system may keep a few creeps on the straight and narrow.
