to assure you ,I still pray for the beleivers.and my friend Dusio didn't want my prayers so I stopped them because they are useless just for him and those like him and I think you're one of them!

by the way , what "action " are you speaking about?

If God exists, it's too far from our human limits of conceiving time, space etc... so, I'm agnostic.

Oh, it's ok, you don't have to be sorry for not agreeing with me.
What I mean by action is, for example, if my friend is in trouble, I rather spend the time I would use praying, in helping her/him with that problem.
You can apply that to everything else.

all right, but I think you're confusing things because praying is somethig and acting ,such as helping as you said, is another thing :

there are moments when our actions are ineffective or limited, so praying the almighty for fulfilling them is necessary.to pray means ask the help of god to fulfill our actions when we aren't sure of their effectivness or their achievements.
For example,my neighbour is in hospital;he is half alive and half death. when his family asked for blood my mother went there to give him some blood because they have the same blood but mine is different. so what I am doing now is praying for him because this is beyond our power.you see! you will tell me that doctors will save him ; they are doing their best but they can't solve lot of matters ... we are powerless and someone else is the powerful ,the almighty, the everlasting,...

another example scientists are working hard to do their researches, and when they discover sthg this will be fine and great .and they are still doing researches(actions) untill they discover that there exists sthg that governs all what suround us which is not man of course.
