I agree with brionon!!! We are animals. And we need a vision of God because of our consciousness about death. Well, it is better to believe that we are something more than animals and we have an immortal soul and that we will be saved and so on than to know that we are just flesh and bones with no soul, no higher purpose... We also need God to manage somehow with our bad nature, and weakness. We are created by God, we are just like God himself... So -> we are so damn gooood. We also have some hope. So, ok death - come and take me... to a better life! And if there is no God? No, I don't want to die, don't want to lose all of it... What do the religion say about the earthly life? It just demerit it, am I right? Why? To make us believe that this life ( the earthly life ) is not so much important, that we need to be good and so on to be saved... Religion is a kind of an instrument of repression in the hand of the almighty church. Why? If we don't know why, it is almost always about the money...

And one more time - I do not need a God. I do not feel that I'm looking for him, not at all. Why should I need him? Tell me...

I think I already did. But than again, who can tell you if you don't see it. It's ok it's your point.
If you don't mind I would just like to correct some of your points about faith ( I don't like religion at all it smells like politics). Animals apart from us do not have consciousness, only reflexes (and God bless them they got it easy). Earthly life is very precious possesion that God had given us and believe me I don't want to lose any of it as well, because it adds very much to my essence and is a school for my soul. If it will turn sour I know even that does me good. I will be the last person to flank out on life, what had been a tradition in many nations that knew not God. And is becoming a "new" wave now days as well, but not at all between believers.
And we do not need to be good to be saved!!!!!!!!!!! Where did you ever get this from? Salvation is a free gift, if we had to do anything with it, than Jesus died for nothing. That is why it is His gift to us, this is the whole matter of our faith.
The fact that church can be about money and politics and wars and .... other s-t (excuse me) is as true as the Bible itself, but what in the world a church like that has anything to do with God? Jesus himself said " I'd rather you will be hot or cold, or I will spew (spit) you out of my mouth" - so according to this you as an atheist (cold) are more acceptable to God than all the people pretending to believe and using it for their profit.
Is it possible you just never saw a real believer? Or ever really read that Bible?
God is often so radical in His view points that it sends the most loyal rocking.
He is freedom, love, passion, fire, joy, creativity and quite often can even be sac religious Himself. Jesus had been crucified, because He stood up against the pharisees - the church of His day! So before you put names on Him make sure your info checks out.
GOD has nothing to do with religion. Religion is dead, He is alive. Religion wants power, He wants freedom. Religion teaches you to hate those who are not like you - He teaches you to love them.
Religion is an organization of man, true church is not an organization, it is people themselves who are on God's side and have His power.

Well, well, well - first of all - I know bible. I've read it many times. But It is just a very good source of ethics and morality. Do I foud something special in it? No. Just a book. I've found more in Seneca's works than in the bible... Really...

And if we don't need to be good to be saved, it just means that
I can take a knife and kill all the people around me with malice aforethought and rape some chidren and it's ok - I will be saved just like the pope himself, yes? So, why the f*** do I need to believe in god? Just give me one reason? And what about the facts? Can you show me god? Are u able to do this? Now, Bible is as special as you are ready to see it and any other book at that matter. I can read the best of literature, spitting at every word and conclude that Duffy Duck is far more captivating, but most likely it's because this is the attitude I started with and I have preconceived ideas against the book.

You need God to be saved, Jesus if more concretely. Even if sincerely (I mean who are you kidding if He can see through you) opening your heart to Him is the only good thing you ever do, you will be saved. The point is how on Earth will you spend an eternity with a shame like that on you when not only God, but every passing stranger will see who you are and what you've done. If that is your plan, then my best wish to you do go to Hell, you will be more comfortable, ha!

Second of all can you see the wind? I guess it just doesn't exist... Oh but wait, we can see the smoke it blows, the trees that move, feel the feeling on our face. Well so it with God. You do not see God, only how He affects the world or our lives with His power. Other examples from nature that no one will argue: magnetism, electricity, certain chemical reactions, ESP ... no see but real!

And, if it's about the wind itself - I can feel it !!! And do I feel god? Not at all...And the rest of your examples - it's all confirmed by the science. And what about god? Any reliable evidence? Bible? Written by the hand of a man...I do not see a true god in there...Illumination? The same story... faith is just a faith. It is not something as certain as we would like it to be. So, there is no proof beyond reasonable doubt in this matter. Questioning is "very" justified here.
