If we a novel in the desert, which have lots of ununderstandable(ununderstandable by us) events and there are lots of ideas we donot know, could we say that "noone has written it", "it forms itself by chance"?If we could say this, then we can say "the universe is a product of chance". I forget who said it ...a long time ago... god exists because man thought of him. How could we think of him if he wasnt there? I can imagine up a purple dinosaur with pink spots and a long slobberry tounge and you may say that it is just makebelive...but it is made up of all things I have seen and knnow to exist or have existed. The colors, the shapes, the symbol, the animal. mabey if we could break god down into those little parts and we could understand...instead of looking at the whole dino. Mabey just like the dino, he existed at some point but is now dead haha...thats why we dont hear from him...just rambling.... I belive in god...the one thing that puzzles me is why he doesnt talk to us. Why is he always such a Mysterious and shady character?

I didn't follow the discussion since the beginning, but I cannot ignore this very same post.
I'd say that it's a nice analogy too, but not a so logical conclusion. Why would you expect "someone" (creature, but now think about the creator) to talk to you when you are not making an effort yourself to talk to them?
This reminded me of a farwarded mail I received once, so let me share it here:

A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects. When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said:"I don't believe that God exists.
"Why do you say that?" asked the customer.
"Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would
there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving God who would allow! all of these things."

The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument.
The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and unkempt. The customer turned back and entered the barbershop again and he said to the barber:
"You know what? Barbers do not exist."
"How can you say that?" asked the surprised barber. "I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!"
"No!" the customer exclaimed. "Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like
that man outside.
"Ah, but barbers DO exist! That's what happens when people do not come to me.
"Exactly!" affirmed the customer. "That's the point! God, too, DOES exist! That's what happens when people do not go to Him and don't look to Him for help. That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."

Let me put a new spin on things,

Don't try to imagine something divine as something physical.

When Yuri Gregaren reached outer space he thought he had disproved heaven's existence by not seeing a bunch of pearly gates and an old guy with a white robe and beard keeping watch.

Sometimes belief in god(s) are just that, belief - it's something that doesn't have to be proved to the individual and trying to disprove it won't do much good.

While this belief is a good thing and gives people something to prop themselves up or maybe give them a set of principles to live their lives by then maybe it's still a good thing. On the other hand you gotta balance that against the negative side of belief and the conflict that can create.

(shrug) I'm still not sure though...
