Well, Jean Fred, what you said is simply stupid. I'm not going to say "Jean Fred, Jean Fred, I'm worried", but I could.
_I say you are a nazi. Is it enough to say you are a nazi? I think this is a first, evident disproof. _The nazi were stupid enough to missunderstand Nietzsche's philosophy. _Nietzsche was not christian, (did you really read his books?) and i don't think he could have condamned the Jews to have killed Jesus, on the contrary, Jesus was his symbol for the degenerescence of the morality. The Jews who crucified him are not those whom Nietzsche denounce. Hummm, I remember that you don't like that someone judge the others according to their nationality and the reputation of their lands... But you think you have to judge Nietzsche according to the meaning of the most stupid people you found on earth? Nice paradox. A little bit of moussaka, Jean Fred? Ciao, Olivier. |

Olivier, big daddy,
I'm not sure I understand much of this overflowing babbling of yours except that "stupid" is your favorite adjective. As I was born on the wrong side of the oven (the inside in fact) I grant you that the nazis were stupid and probably even more than that, like total monsters, no? By the way do you eat moussaka or just wade through it? |

To stay with the topic that was originally proposed...[for a moment] I think God does exist. There are paradoxes such as: Can God make a Rock so big that He cannot lift it ? or other paradoxes such as: Can God make a sandwich so big that he cannot eat it ? but those kinds of paradoxes - even though interesting - seem to presupose the concept of a God who is infinite in all senses of the word (the word "infinite"). God must have some way to make the distinction between Himself and what He has created (presuming that God is the Creator). God exists, but whatever kind of God He is, He would seem to be the kind who wants to decide what the rule of life and the universe are, for himself. So God could just as easily either make a rock that He cannot lift, and then turn around and lift the same rock. The only limitations He would have would probably be whatever the limits of his inherent characteristics are (or whatever limits of personality He would have). I believe God is rational and can be understood rationally. But that does not mean that God is easy to Accept. Any genuine acceptance that God actually exists means that God would be the one who would make the rules for the universe. It would also mean that God would probably have rules about what He does and does not want humans to do. In other words, mankind would be "accountable" to God (however that is measured). Several authors have dealt with the existence of God: [these are all links to Amazon.com] The Case for a Creator: A Journalist Investigates Scientific Evidence That Points Toward God The New Evidence That Demands A Verdict Fully Updated To Answer The Questions Challenging Christians Today by McDowell The God Who Is There by Francis A. Schaeffer How Should We Then Live? The Rise and Decline of Western Thought and Culture Gottes Prädikat: Unendlich wertvoll Unendlich wertvoll Die große Scheidung oder Zwischen Himmel und Hölle von Clive St. Lewis Obviously the question of whether God exists is important, but for me the question of "what to do with [or about] God" if He does exist seems like a logical progression. Many people do not want to find God. Others want to find Him but not have to look for Him. Others think that God should find them. Still others are willing to entertain and consider all sorts of questions, but only so long as those who engage in this do not actually claim to have found God. There can be something a bit disturbing...about those who think that they have found God. But these are [some of] the kinds of questions that are worth thinking about. - Last edited by gardener; 03-10-2006 at 08:19 PM. |

Jean Fred,
Thanks for your explanation. You could see I was going crazy some point in my life. You're smart. Chevaliertuc, Sorry I didn't have time to read through all your posts. Just some simple questions. As you're denying existence, then does this world exist? Do you exist? Do other people exist? What is your definition of existence and non-existence? On my part, I wish I didn't exist. I'm tired of all my daily chores and work. I'm looking forward to my eternal rest, if death is like sleeping. ![]() |

Cher Jean Fred,

Well, Chinoise,you feel blue.
Even if routine is a nightmare, at least you can awake while from eternal rest you can't.May I suggest you read or read again Su Tung Po and think over his strength in adversity ? And Chinoise, I'm glad you exist. |
