As a psychologist I've been dealin' with many people who had attempted suicide. All of them have had psychological problems before. They were callin' for help by tryin' to commit suicide. Most of them were dealin' with severe major depression, bipolar disorder, or were under high stress connected with emotional disturbance. I guess that there is not even one human being, who would like to commit suicide just like this, for fun, or who knows why (all in all - by thinking staright). Do you know that we have something called self-preservation instinct? The strongest instinct we have. Do you know how desperate someone need to be to combat it? It's out of our thinking. I think that no-one can understand it unless he/she would feel like tryin' to kill her/himself. One thing, I've learned by workin' with such people is that they always try to indirectly inform their relatives or friends that they need help. There are always some signals before. Do I think that such people are sinners? I do not believe in any god, but from my point of view, it would be clamant injustice to claim that extremely sufferin person is to blame for havin no one to see that he/she needs help. We, the observers, are to blame.

religion which claims that suicide is a sin, is not a religion for me... rather foolishness and ignorance.

Giving own's life for someone is not a suicide, it is called rather commendable act (ethics). An act of valiance.

I can't understand why some people think bad things about who think about suicide himself... just can't understand...
There are such serious problems in our society and they don't give a damn. There are assassins, racists, etc... what about them? In my opinion it's such a shame to have racist and prejudiced people now... we're on the XXI century!

You don't understand the nature of mental disorders. You do not know how it is to be e.g., depressed. Only hard mental or psychological condition can force a person to suicide. So, you think that a person who do suffers from schizophrenia or bipolar disorder is "foolish & ungrateful"? Yes? Coz' people with such illnesses tend to try to commit suicide...

How do you think the eutanasion is related to suicide? I think you're mixin' it up a bit.

Yeah, yeah, yeah... everything is sooooo simple for you: struggle, fight, etc. You have to be very lucky one. But you cannot know when the real life is about to go'n'kick your ass... You do not know how fragile our mental state is. Strong mind... I hope you will have it all the way through...

Do you know what to be depressed is? Do you know what to deal with tough problems during years when you're just a child is? Do you know what is to cry the entire day? Do you know when we can take no more?... You must be very happy and without any serious problems, if not you wouldn't say that.

Hi gosia..maybe I dont know much.but,I know that nobody is born with such disorders.The root cause of these disorders are over-anxiety,unnecessary stress n greed.And,these can be easily avoided.People have 2 know about their limits.Hence I still maintain my point.
And u say about life kickin' ur a#*,
well, I ask u.WTH do u know about life n its various struggles ? have u ever met real men n women who have braved every possible odd in their life n have emerged victorious..? U read 2-3 books on psychology n claim 2 know everything about the mind..?

well alexia,I never had anything easy in life..I had 2 struggle 4 everything.
And u talk abt depression.There r countless no of people who have faced much more terrible difficulties in life .
well I dont like 2 advise.but pls ......

Seeing ur posts in this thread..I feel the problem with u is "lack of inspiration".I guess u have never met or heard abt truly inspirational people.And crying is not bad.but if u cry 4 ten minutes,then u must take an oath never 2 let that happen 2 u again.And happiness is always within u.it will never come frm outside.U can have every damn thing in the w+hole w+orld and still be sad.Its an individual choice.U gotta learn 2 be happy n cheerful n slowly it becomes ur way of life.then u see,u will never ever make such posts.
