A little while ago, Klowj very kindly translated my name, Alison, into Arabic:
آليسون My friend is just back from holiday and got a necklace made for me with my name, but unfortunately the jeweller has left out the little dots (two at the bottom and one at the top) and the ~ above the first letter. Is this going to change the meaning now? If so, how badly (I've been thinking all sorts of frightening things it could now mean!!! )Many thanks, Alison |

It's like writing Alison, without dot on "i" or a little bit more
it does not change the meaning at all, because without dots the name is unrecognasied, those 2 dots are very important than the rest, because that letter exactly can contain : "one dot above" or "2 dots above" or "dot on bottom" or "2 dots on bottom", so whithout dots, not any one can guess that it's the letter for "i".. you should better try to make all the dots and of course the ~Can you put a picture of the necklace if possible, I just wanna see it ![]()

I still haven't managed up to my friend's house to pick the necklace up (still haven't seen it) but my other friend is asking if you could possibly translate her daughter's name:
Sammi This would be much appreciated. Many thanks and I'll get that picture as soon as I can. |
