Question Name translations...

Hi there, I'm new to the forum so apologies if I'm posting this in the wrong place or if I'm starting an unnecessary thread.

I was wondering if someone would mind translating a few names from English into Arabic for me?

Below are the translations I require:

Karen
Andrew
Lydia
Jessica

Also would it be possible for someone to explain why the Arabic words go back to front when they are pasted into Microsoft Word, and if the translations given are written so that they are the correct way round when pasted into Word, or if they are the correct way round when written on these pages?

Many thanks in advance,

Andy.

Nah! Don't worry... I personally think you're in the right place. I'm kind of new here myself.

To explain, Arabic is written right to left. It would be like saying: (read from right to left)

.god yzal eht revo depmuj xof nworb kciuq ehT

Other scripts I know are written from right to left are Hebrew and Syriac. For example, some East Asian scripts are written top to bottom.

I think you might already knew that.

I think it's an issue of software with Microsoft Word. If anyone knows more about this, please correct me: If you don't have Arabic support on MS Word, the letters pasted are going to be disconnected and I think also go the opposite direction. I remember having this problem and fixing it after updating my MS Word to include Arabic support. I don't remember how exactly though. However, Windows WordPad is normally compatable with right-to-left scripts like Arabic.

Thank you very much, I was thinking it was probably a problem with MS Word, but just incase I thought I'd check.

I'm very grateful for the translations, thank you so much.
