Hi every one
I want to know what you think about Arabic tattoos. A lot of people come here asking for translations for the purpose of having them tattooed on their body. These people get a mixed bag of responses, from help to expressed disapproval. Why do some people not want these people to get the Arabic language tattooed on their body? |

Hi,
Its not about "Arabic tatoos" its about "tatoo" it self, I personnaly dont like tatoos thats stay in the body for ever, but no problem for permenant tatoo, I mean tatoo that could be washed off by water or somthing like this. For me a tatoo is beautifull but only when I know that it can be removed easly or by the time (Like Henna).

Any way tattoo is not allowed in the Islam. But so many Arab people put it in their bodies. I mean unreligious people.
We refuse that when some members ask about God's name(allah) and I think it's not suitable to put God's name in our bodies. To be honest I love tattoo so much. Hope u can understand me.

I hope that you got the point, Matt
.In Islam, tatoos are forbidden, but it's not because we respect that, that we should make everyone else coming here for tatoos forget about their own desires. We do not impose our religion on anyone, and do help with tatoo requests. BUT when someone asks for a sentence for a tatoo with the name of God in it, then none of us accepts to help, because for us the name of God is sacred and can not be taken into the bathroom for example, you see? I hope that it's clear.

I just wanted to add something; although Arabic is the language of Islam, it is also spoken by many Christians and others. Thus, I think it would not be logic to refuse a translation for a tattoo in Arabic because Islam forbids it. However, I clearly agree that the name of God should not be translated for a tattoo.
