Well, that was "follow the way".

Sflor, I don't see exactly what you mean by "lead the way", maybe if you paraphrase I'd have another suggestion. Unless if you exactly meant to follow the way .

Well, that sentence was asked by a friend who wants to make a tatoo. I don´t know very well the meaning of it, but I know it´s a sentence which he learnt in his military course. I guess it helps now.

Lead the way sounds way too different than follow the way, to me!
You can get more precision concerning it if it's not too late already.

Yes, you´re right. Both verbs can have a different meaning... I´ll tell my friend to hold his horses concerning his tatoo and wait for other suggestions!
