Question Lebanese

Hi everyone,

I need your help in translating the following into spoken and written lebanese.

- what's the problem/quel est le probleme

- this is not of your business/ca ne te regarde pas

- my heart is bleeding (aka im hurt to death in my feelings)/mon coeur saigne (i.e. je suis blessée à mort dans mon coeur)

- i wish to have you back and safe/je souhaite que tu sois de retour et en sécurité

- i wish you the best

- i can't live without you/je ne peux vivre sans toi

Are there any lebanese expressions that mean keep talking or bla-bla (meaning you keep talking but you dont do much)?

Also, could you please tell me which of these 2 "I miss you" is in spoken Lebanese?

ichtaktou ilayki or shta2tillak

and what is the difference between Shu be3mol balaak? and Shu ra7 e3mol belaak?... is it only the verb or the whole meaning?

Thanks in advance!

Alea

Hi Alea,

I can respond to some of your questions, somebody else will fill in the rest, I'm sure

what's the problem = mish a3ajbak (m)
this is none of your business = la shaghelnak (m)
my heart is bleeding = 2albi 3am yenzef (literally)
I'm suffering like crazy = 2albi byewja3ni ktir
I wish you all the best = betmannlak kell khair (m)
I can't live without you = ma fiye 3ayshe min dounak (I'm not quite sure - to be checked pls)

eshta2telak is lebanese for I miss you

shou be3mol balaak = what would I do without you (qu'est ce que je ferais sans toi)
shou ra7 e3mol balaak = what will I do without you (qu'est ce que je vais faire sans toi - à l'avenir)

I hope this is more or less right.. anyhow pls wait for the experts

Asma, I know you'll disagree with my spelling

Je t'en prie Alea.

D'ailleurs, la phrase qui manquait est:

ana baddi ennak terja3 (je voudrais que tu reviens) mais "safe / en santé" je ne suis pas sure, qualque chose comme "ma3 sa7t"

On attend les profis

Bonne journée

Cristina

Hello
Let me write things "my" own way then, and then comment on Cristina's.

- what's the problem = sho lmashkal?

- this is not of your business = ma dakhalak (m) / ma dakhalek (f)

- my heart is bleeding --> As Crisitina translated litterally: 2albi 3am yenzef.

- i wish to have you back and safe = Betmanna terja3li saleem.

- i wish you the best --> As Cristina said: Betamanna lak(m)/lek(f) kel khair.

- i can't live without you = Ma fiyyi/fini 3eesh men doonak. (Correct for Cristina )

There isn't really an expression I know of. You want just a translation?
It could be: Betdallak te7ki, bass ma bte3mol shi. (m)
Betdallek te7ki, bass ma bte3mli shi. (f)

ichtaktou ilayki or shta2tillak
Cristina answered right this one too

It's also balaak for the second sentence. I'd say the first is in the present tense (hmm.. le conditionnel aurait pu être: sho kent 3melet balaak)

Now some comments on Crisitina's sentences
Quote:
I'm suffering like crazy = 2albi byewja3ni kti
r
Correct sentence, and it means exactly "my heart hurts so much".

These two doesn't really make sense.
Mish = negation, so it doesn't fit in.

Yallah, gotta go.
