Hello again,
could someone please translate this passage into lebanese for me please: You are doing the right thing, M. I am the one to blame (=it's only my fault, not yours). I always forgive you everything. You call and I jump. And I'm not even in love with you... can you imagine? Thank you Cristina

beshkrak ya Nani
I assume that "m3 eni manni mu3*rameh feek" means "I'm not in love with you", right? What stands the asterisc * for? ot is it a typing mistake? And how would you translate that "can you imagine?" at the end? Can I say "btaref kif"? shukran ktir 3ala musaa3adak cristina

Hello Cristina
![]() You say "beshkrak" to a male, to a female it should be ..... , yes you know it! Oh well, you don't take nani for a man too, do you? ![]() For mu3*rameh, that wasn't a typo. It stands for what I'd write as: moghrameh. So as you can guess it's a way of transliteration, as 3 is used for the letter 3ayn, then 3' or 3* are sometimes used for the letter ghayn, as to symbolize 3 with a dot . People usually write it with an apostrophe.Forcan you imagine, it was translated by nani as feek tetkhayyal. So I'd say the second part of the sentence as: "Lamma btettesel, ana bnett, ma3a enni manni moghrameh feek..feek tetsawwar? (= tetkhayyal)" I think that the person you want to help no more needs this, but I still wanted to reply for your own knowledge ![]() See you around. Last edited by Asminha; 12-09-2006 at 02:13 PM. |
