James from English to Arabic

Hi,
My middle name is James and I wanted to translate it to Arabic.
My attempt is this:

ﺟﺎﻤﺲ

My only concern is whether I got the letter 'a' translated correctly.

It seems there are three 'a' sounds (that I know of).
'a' in cat, 'a' in father, and 'a' in away
I am not certain that in the name James the letter 'a' can be translated by Alef. The sound in 'a' as in wait. Does this sound use Alef? I assumed I can use Alef.

Also, the 'e' is silent, right?

So is my translation O.K.?

your name " James " is prononced " jéms "
the " a " here is heard " é " like in french

or it's prononced llike the " e " in " here "
your name will be write with " ي " : "yaa "

Just to clarify, my middle name James is pronounced:

'j' as in jamiil (i hope thats the word of beautiful), or in jaw or in jake or jack or jam
'a' as in say, or may, or day, or bait or late
'm' as in money, or more
's' as in sale, or summer, or sorry

I dont know what the French 'e' sounds like, but if it is the same as the 'a', as in jamiil, then what would my name look like.

The 'a' isn't the 'e' sound from here, so I don't think "yaa" would work.

if you write it " جامس " the " a " here w'll prononced " I " in english

james is write " جيمس "
