Default Arabic latin translation with numbers

Hi !

I have searched and didn't found any post where all numbers used in arabic
latin translation would be grouped together so I would like to ask you
which numbers are used in that way.
I know 2 means hamza (like taa2 = ta + alif + hamza)
and I think 7 means hard 'H', probably like in merHaba.
I have seen also 3 for ayn, but there is also 6 and 9....
Can someone put all used numbers together and their examples as well.

Thanks

Thanks a lot lives'_song I was meant to do that.

Personnaly, the only ones I use are 2, 3 and 7. I always mix up 6 and 9, and give headaches to Jonne reminding me of the difference

I see also people using:
3' for gheen : غ
7' for khaa2 : خ
6' for :ظ
9' for : ض

Ok, let me sum altogether (not sure for 5 though):
Is this correct ?

2 (hamza) ء
3 (ayn) ع
3' (ghayn) غ
5 (khaa) خ
6 (thaa) ط
6' (zaa) ظ
7 (haa) ح
7' (khaa) خ
9 (saad) ص
9' (dhaad) ض

And as you can notice, you have two ways to write "khaa2", both are used, so you can choose any of the two.

The scientific transliteration of Arabic has always used the apostrophe (') for hamza. I don't understand why to use the 2 instead.
