Salam all,
I want to translate the following question, but I have I doubt on how I have to put it : "You did not see the concert of Fayruz ?" I translated it as follows : "ما شهدت حفلة الموسيقية فيروز But "hafilat elmusiqeeya fayruz" doesn't sound right, so I thought it might be "hafilat el musiqeeya min Fayruz" but that doesn't sound right either (to MY ears ) )من فيروز And another question : hafilat elmusiqeeya : that is idafa, right ? Shukran in advance ! Nadine

Hi Nadine , "You did not see the concert of Fayruz ?" i guess the question could be * haven't you seen the concert of Fayrouz? , but i will translate it the way you put it , and it will go like this: أنت لم ترى الحفلة الموسيقية لفيروز whereas if you put it the way i said it could be, " haven't you seen the concert of Fayrouz?" the translation will be ألم ترى حفلة فيروز الموسيقية ؟ |

Salam all,
To Nani : I have been trying to find الم ترى in my dictionnary, but I can't find the meaning of it. I don't know enough of Arabic language and this doesn't look like a verb, so I suppose I cannot translate it as "haven't you seen". This question may look stupid, I know... To Moutarjem : I don't know enough Arabic to understand everything you said... (Sorry to bother you but would you mind translating it in English? Just like to learn new things). I understood the part where you said salam to all the persons gathered here and something about a lost address. My questions : Further on I read "nisba". So, "hafilat musiqeeya" is a noun + nisba-adjective ? And no idafa here, I just use "li-Fayruz". As I didn't put the context, my sentence must not have been clear (sorry). I meant "watch the concert on television", that's why I said "شهد 7adhara would not be appropriate then, I guess (as it means "be present, attend to") ? Thanks in advance for your kind help .
