wa 3alykom assalam Abu dana
Your question is NOT stupid at all, these verbs are confusing actually and they need full concentration to be understood.

Salam

Assalamu, again, Alex
I find that Arabic calls something irregular in Arabic but this turns out to be regular in English sense. Like, you know all of these irregular verbs in English right? They are called irregular because they are formed in spite normal rules. Like, be, was, were, been, you remember?
But Arabic calls "irregular" only those that have any of these "alif", "ya" and "waw" in the root word. (because they are caleld weak letters, not strong like others....)
But still they are formed normally according to rules of word or verb formation, and conjugation.
It's like I totally lost the concept of being regular and irregular.
So, from the point of view of English-speaker the only truly irregular verbs remain LAYSA and KANA.
Or did I miss something.
Too bad this forum is not yet up and running...rrrhhhrrhhh....
