in arabic?

Hi and welcome to the forum

Paulo renato = باولو ريناتو it sound like "Baolo rinato" because there is no "e" nor "p" in arabic.

when you use yaa' ي to be a vowel isn't it a long ee sound?

Patrick has an "i" sound. Its like the "i" in it/if/hit which is a short i sound not ee as in heat/weed/beat/feet

So if you translate patrick as بتريك

are you not saying patreek? (with the p as a b, I understand that)

should the "i" in patrick not be left as a kaSraH? ie
بَتْرِكْ
