Hello A-Member.
I have been married twice, my first wife and I had a plain Gold ring. placed on the the 3rd finger of the LEFT hand. After she passed away I later married a German lady and we both had a plain Gold ring on the 3rd finger of our RIGHT hand.
Unfortunately she also passed away, and I now live most of the time in the UK, but having a dual passport I occasionally go to see my stepdaughters in Düsseldorf , I also have a German daughter who may still live in Italy or Sicily who I have lost contact with. She wears her ring on her 3rd finger right hand when last I saw her.

The rings are just like what we use here in America.

I imagine it should be quite similar for most of the world?

Some can get very expensive. I hope my fiancee is reasonable, got to have $ left over for the honeymoon and especially the new house.
