What is Religion????

I know there are several religions...do any of you know why is that in your opinion???? If there wasn't any religion do you think that there will be less conflict in the world???

If you make comparisons like that then we should stretch such comparison even further, what about if languages disappeared and races disappeared (along with religions) and we could be all of one race and speaking one language and be of same colour skin do you think that there will be less conflict in the world???

On the other hand what is the etimology of word "religion"? in Latin and in Arabic in these two classic languages? Why these two, because from these two stem and branch off two big sides in the world.

They show still different approaches to religion to its opposite whatever it is called - temporal world, secular. Relations between them.

Even for those that choose to not be a certain faith must eventually try to connect with some group. I mean a good group of people that work towards good deeds.

I usually do not discuss religion and especially politics at gatherings because no one ever agrees. It is a never-ending battle.

Joining a church group, etc is the best thing you can do especially at a young age. You will find other good people. Just keep believing.

I notice the title of thread is "...about religions" so I don't see reason why not discuss religion in the title called "...about religions". But, you have a right not to enter our discussions about religions, if you don't want to discuss it.

well before we could talk about what religion is ,we should talk who is God..coz religion is created by God(some of the religion of course not all)

i was born with different religion and am reborn again with a new religion which am so comfortable with now...it was a 12 years journey though..so the issue here is not religion but

who is the True God?

who is the real Creator?

who will judge us one day?

what is the purpose of this life?

is this life just about being born,study,get job,get married,hv children then die????

why do we need to be created?

even in normal life there are reasons for every action..so what is the reason of us being created?

some people will simply say"our ancestors have been into thsi religion,so we have to be in this religion"

there is no concrete answer by the way..before understanding religion,try to understand God

u must understand that God is one kind of "supernatural power" which cannot be equal to man..there is no similarities between God and man..

if there are similarities between God and man,then i will plainly say that is not God..

to understand God..u must do comparison of all God that u know..read and search the truth...

only the God who created this world knows how this world functions...

let me put it in a very simple example:
A man who created machine knows how the machine functions and only he knows the mechanism of the machine..coz he is the creator of the machine..in order to tell others about the machine's mechanism he need a book called manual book..

so the true God who created this world has a manual book as well and search for that manual book and read and find the truth for urself.

no point of arguing due to arrogance coz arrogance and hatred is not gonna take us anywhere

put all hatred aside and read all the books available and compare for urself...

am very sure there are many "manual books" but only one of them is the true one...
