I agree with the point that dialogue as nothing to do with assimilation-integration.
Hearing the others points of view, respecting them, is a way to peace because it makes light where there was a black night, but it hopefully doesn’t make people be-feel-think-believe the same. (Hope to be understood…)

I am not a believer, but I think and I see that there are many ways to believe in a God, even for people who are of the same religion. So for people of other religions, how many differences !

And for all of that is “different”, there are many ways to manage that.
Ways of fear : if that’s different that must be bad, coz it looks strange, and so on…
And an other way : if it’s different, I can approach and open my ears and my eyes, and what I see is “only” an other human being, just as I am.
The colours of his/her way of life is not the same as mine…And so ?
So, that’s interesting !
Come and talk, come and hear !

I’ll never become a Christian, a Muslim, a Jewish, and he/her ‘ll never become an atheist as me, but sharing our life values, make us grow up in our minds, in our hearts, in humanity.
I believe in that.
