Islam is radical!!! because it's forbidden for a Muslim woman to marry a non-Muslim?
A Muslim man can marry a jewish or a christian because he believes in and respects these religions but his children are Muslims, a Muslim woman can't marry a non-muslim because
her husband doesn't believe in her religion and her children might follow their father's religion. Marriage must be based on love, respect, and understanding, and is supposed to last.Do you think that kind of marriage will last? I don't think so.

There are things in other religions that we think are radical but, saying radical may HURT these people and it's a must in Islam that we respect and treat non-Muslims well.

Belief is Love, and Love is Belief. Only oppositions define which it is stronger. I think that's here distortion. Belief with Love is the same. But... I don't want fight with you because I very respect you. I believe that all human being is even and free. But I know that so it is not in Muslim's world. I know however that must so to be. It is maybe KARMA of the world and very needed thing.

My turkish boyfriend is muslim...but he said "religion is not important" and things like "i'm not a good muslim"...at this point, after reading your posts, i think i'd really like it would be so...cuz i cannot think that he would marry me just because for him,a male,is allowed and for girls isn't! I've a csomopolitic point of view and i REALLY respect EVERY type of religion and atheism too-but one day,i don't want to force my children to believe in something.I want to let them choose their way by theirselves...i don't want that they will be Muslims only because of their father-it's unfairy!everybody can choose their thoughts why can't you? I believe in Love's religion:if you love someone you will leave him/her to choose their way;if i'll have babies i want to let them choose their way on their own!

I can choose my thoughts, you think I'm forced to be a Muslim? no one forced me, but I think, read, I even read about other religions. I believe in my religion, and if your boyfriend marries you, it's because he loves you, not because it's just allowed. Even Muslim women can marry christians or jewish, but they know it's a sin and forbidden. I'm with you..every one can choose how to live their lives. I also choose to be an open-minded person and show respect to other people's ideas and their religions. I'd never say something like "this is not fair in this religion, or this religion is radical" would that make me an open-minded person? I don't think so.
see you

Well sorry to tell you , but it has nothing to do with forcing your children to be Muslims, they will still be Muslims even if you didn't want to ... this is how things go , we are born Muslims because our parents are Muslims, and afterwards, we don't change , we grow up believing in Islam ...and we don't see ourselves as radicals, we see ourselves as believers and we do believe and respect all three religions.

Our religion ordered us to believe in all three religions and we are not allowed to disrespect other religions.

Well if your parents are muslims, you are muslim by fact, but not by convinction, you may change your mind depending on your own vision of things. Moreover how can you pretend to choose your religion if your parents are of the same religion? Let's say that's a special kind of choice, somehow oriented

You hit the spot, mate!!

And all these arguments and discussions have the same root: The inner belief about what you're saying IS the truth... I don't have any specific religion, but I do share most of the Buddhist philosophy. But I admit, and I'm open, to the possibility of what I think might be wrong... how many of you, Muslims, Christians, Jews, etc; are willing to do the same?

¡¡Viva la diversidad!! (long life to diversity)
