FD >>> do u mean you would ban me ?????? LOL ... am not going to fight unless someone started ( see how much tolerante i am ??? LOL ) ...
OKAY ... your question is : Don't you think that men should do a little effort to keep it normal even when women wear a bit less clothes?? And leave the hijab a religious thing, not a protection against men... YES , i think men should do a little effort to keep it normal .. BUT women are not make it easy for men .. cloths tend to be less and less every season hehehe ... thats why , there are some women , who are trying to make it easy on men , and wear decent cloths well ... most of my friends say that the feel more comfortable when they wear hijab .. and they try to modernize it with colorful scarfs. you know what , even christains in our world wear decent cloths , also they put on a scarf when they go to church. Hijiab is something traditional beside being a religious issue in our part of the world. and as Nana said , even men in our part of the world wear decent cloths. |

Hi FD
I repeat what I've said before: In Islam, women and men are equal. In islam, there is equality of gender, race, colour, social status, etc. But sure, you don't seem to be asking about woman in general, but only about the veil. Such an issue in France and Turkey! I've spent a lot of time in France, and I've never met or heard about a single girl or woman who had been forced to wear the veil. I've heard some French in the media say that it exists, which may be true, there are so many narrow-minded people in the world! and on all sides! But I am sure they're a tiny minority. On the contrary, I know and I've met so many (too many!) girls and women who were forced to take off the veil... Because of the French laws at school, because no French employer would let them work dressed like that, or because their parents were against the veil... As a sensitive and sensible man as you are FD, I hope you'll understand the pain and suffering of thousands of girls and women who are forced, in France and inTurkey, to take off their veil, against their will... These women are crying because people and governments force them to dress the European way which is said to be the only "modern and civilised" way. And when they dare refuse to take off their veil, then they're excuded from education and work and sometimes citizenship as well, i.e. they're excluded from the society... ...WHY? BECAUSE they've chosen to dress differently. Don't you believe in this very basic and primitiveand essential freedom which is the freedom to dress the way you like? I have 4 sisters, 2 are veiled and 2 are not. and I love the 4 of them. and I love all women in the world as my sisters in humanity. NO WOMAN SHOULD EVER BE FORCED TO VEIL NO WOMAN SHOULD EVER BE FORCED TO UNVEIL The veil is a religious thing, not cultural or traditional. A woman who veils does it out of Love of God. Maybe like a nun I suppose... wearing or not wearing the veil is a matter of religious freedom. Let everyone be free! |

[quote=And like I said before, if every single man wishes women to wear hijab how on hearth could they decide another way?? They do not know but they are not free to choose.[/QUOTE]
hey .. we have TVs , we are open to the world , we are not living in tents any more hehehe ... and again , i would like to add .. we are free to choose .. listen , if the woman is not free , she can take it off once she is out of sight of the man who forced her to wear it , and this happens sometimes , i can't deny that , but, this is rare. most of the time .. women take it as something they are proud of , they like to wear it , they don't mind it ... so they keep it |

To Senni
You have been to french school, don't forget that this is a LAIC school... that means NO religion at all whatsoever in it. That includes no veil. Distinvitve signs of religious and community appartenace have always been forbidden in France for freedom reasons. Do you think it is to be free to wear and show everybody your conictions and ideas. What would you do if on your ID were written Jewish or Arab or Mulism or Christian??? That is not freedom!!!! Now what make me say that most of the girls think they chose to wear the hijab but in reality their choice is a false one... It is that I am living inside Paris were I sometimes see hijabs one women, and I can think they reasonnably chose it. But crossing the road and getting outside from Paris (In Bobigny, 93, where i am working). Half of women wear the Hijab. How on hearth from a side of the street to the other one, so much women suddenly chose to wear it? They think they chose it but actually their culture forced them to wear it. They just don't even know about ihow they were forcd. And that's why it is hard for them to remove it thereafter, when we have a law for that. If they would have chosen it freely for real, it would not be too hard to remove it at least at school (less than 16 years old for those who forget it).
