i'm a girl have 18 years old i live in jordan and i'm a muslim . islam is my religion and i proud that i'm a muslim .
you ask about our wear in islam . we wear ( veil ) just to protect women and girls from any bad looks from men and boys the veil isn't just to cover women's hair the veil is to wear a good and tall and not pillucular wear . and it's optional for any girl to wear this veil no one can press at girls to wear it and you can see many muslim girls don't wear it .
that my religion ( islam ) considers that girls just like pearl they need oyster to protect them . and i want u to know that it's optional

and i can write many and many papers about my religion . and u can ask
i forget tell you that i wear this veil and i like it

thanx alot

Smile Islam and Women

Well, yes.. in Islam of course there is equality among men and women. But of course, as you know women need to be protected and one issue is as you know...physical appearance. It is very important, an image of a woman, to be seen or unseen of the flaws and the beauty is the woman herself to decide. So, this is actually a part in the aspect of modesty.

Not to discriminate women with flaws or to be carried away with such beauty, so as to save the image of a woman. Let the women decide. She has to weigh the consequences. But there is a guide line to oblige the integrity of a woman when she integrates herself in the society.

I think it is sweeter to be modest in all aspect. I hope you understand what I am trying to say. Thank you. btw..Islam is always sweeter when you understand...

? recommend you to search for ayats from Qur'an and from hadith. This way you will know the theoretical sources of veiling in ISLAM. Another point is that we can not say that something is wrong just for some people do not do it.
From a theological perspective, it is quite normal that there are failers and winners in this Examination (the wordly life).

I was talking for those women that say"I wear Hijab cuz i feel safer in this way" >>it's not a way to feel safe from men-animals!!<<(i saw that video of women wearin' Hijaab sayin' these things!) and i heard Muslim men sayin' that women have to cover their bodies cuz they are a temptation for men...don't you think that if men have such "temptations" and they can resist them, would God be proud of this?! Otherwise,if a woman is not wearing Hijaab they will not feel guilty to do somethin' to her! I'm speakin' cuz i heard some muslim speaking like this and that's why i said "women go to the gym and kick them"!
I respect every religion, believe me or i wouldn't study languages and cultures.I'm learning Arabic and sometimes i read al-Qur'an but i only said that it's a shame showin' muslim as they shouldn't be according to the Qur'an.
So, I was only speakin' women to women and not christian to muslim...well,my boyfriend is muslim and i don't have such problems so i hope u'll understand
take care!!
It's not as much about safety as it is about respect.
If you would see two women walking side by side on the street...one half naked...the other wearing hijab and abaya.....which woman, you think men are more inclined to look after and think about sexual desires?
Personally I woudn't want to have men whistle at me on the street.
