What about your dog? You said you would die for him?! He just has to compensate to you for all the love you so persistently defend yourself from. No human being can exist without love be it from a person, dog or a favorite tarantula, some even humanize their computers just to feel loved.
(1John 4:8 God is love. - May be that's why) The problem comes when people get used to it and it becomes a norm, then even if solution is proposed, it's refused as unneeded.
