Hello,
These days I came across the Min Nan, Minnan, or Min-nan dialect. From what I have read about it on the internet I understood that it "refers to a family of Chinese languages/dialects which are spoken in southern Fujian and neighboring areas". I also read that when writing Min Nan in Chinese characters, some writers need to create new characters in order to express certain things. I find this to be very interesting. I would be very interested in hearing the opinion of a native speaker regarding this dialect, and how much different it is from the Chinese language. Looking forward to finding out new and interesting things Have a lovely day everyone! OANA ![]() |
