I have seen many times those arabic kerchiefs like the following pic:



The url above holds name "kafya". Is that original name ?
What vendors are good, if i want it to buy on-line ?

Any info would be appreciated.

yes these are called * koffiyah * or * Hattah* in Jordan and Palestine .. I don't know whether there are vendors because these are very common here and all are the same.

I have noticed that some of them have white fringes (i hope its the right word) as on this picture, and some of them are without them.

Hi ales, in Saudia men have this but it's called shmagh, but it doesn't have fringes.I wish I could help you get one, but I don't know how.

Sooner or later someone (of my friends) will go to arabic country and buy me one. But its hard to search if you don't know original name.

Hey ales, usually ours doesn't have these fringes and we call them *sharasheeb*

Now you know the name and you can buy it ... if i had any friend who is going to ur end i will send you one, it is very cheap here, around 4 dollars... another idea .. you can come I will give you one as a souvenir

So the best solution for me is, to visit half of the world wearing several
kafya's and collecting them even more

And would be really amazing talking to people that I got a kafya as a souvenir from Brasil
