Yes of course I got your point. You'll use a preposition if you used "al-jamee3". But in this sentence, it doesn't match
You can say:
Atamanna laylatan sa3eedatan leljamee3 = I wish a happy night for all.

Hmm, trying to explain the use of leljamee3 instead of jamee3an may lead us to grammar And I am not sure that I can make it simple

Thanks Asminha. I think I see what you mean. And then it would be li-l-jamee3i, right ? Kasra for the genitive case used after "li" and only one kasra as "al jamee3" is determined by the "al".

I never know how to use these genitive and nominative words, Jonne tried to make them stick to my mind, in vain. I know them only in Arabic actually.
I omitted the kasrah, just because it's the end of the sentence, and when it is, you don't prunounce the vowel generally.
