Some new Finn around. Great! Tervetuola...

NB: What's the difference between 'minulla on niin ikävä sinua' and 'kaipaan sinua'?

Oh, thank you. It's weird to come in a some international place, where the first thing don't have to explane that there is a really coultry called Finland some where...

The meaning of "minulla on niin ikävä sinua" or "kaipaan sinua" is quite the same. First is just longer (and it has a subject in it) and more like straight translation vv33d asked for. Thought the sound of "on ikävä" ja "kaivata" is a bit diffrent, but difficult to explane. It's more like which tone of your voice you would like to say, that you miss him/her.
