Part III
I dug up some old pictures of Ego. Here are some of them for everyone to see. I haven't taken all of them myself, so apologies to people who have (c) of these pictures. The only pictures I have of Ego before it came to Finland are here. (c) Nicoletta (probably?) I never got any other pictures, and I don't remember seeing other pictures either. From these pics anyone can see in what condition the dog is, right? I don't see any ribs... This picture is from the airport, when the dog had just arrived to this country in March 2006, (c) Kirsi V. Hmm... Maybe you can see last two ribs if you look at it really carefully...? Take a look at the muscels of front shoulder (looks pretty straight to me). My first reaction to dog's appearance was its thinness and lack of muscles. The picture which (as far as I can remember) I took two days later. Also in this pic I can clearly see the ribs, but this doesn't mean the dog is too thin. This picture has been taken in May 2006, (c) Raisa At this stage the dog's exercise has been increased substantially, and you can immediately see the effect in back thighs and and front shoulders - they look much firmer. If you look really closely, you might be able to see the last ribs... This pic has been taken in front of the dog, and here you can really see how slim the dog's structure is. The chest has never looked much broader than the head, has it? ******** TBC I'm not sure if all the words that are related to dog's anatomy are translated correctly. I'm not so familiar with the subject... ![]() |

The final part
I continue to search my files, maybe I find more pictures where you can see the dog's structure... I want to make it clear (because some people obviously have difficulties understanding this) that I don't want to criticize SEY's inspectors in any way. They do valuable charity work. What irritates me is that based on a photograph someone makes a complaint (20.6.2007) saying the dog is very thin. Nobody has, however, bothered to ask why the dog is in that condition, where is it, does it get enough food etc. In addition, the dog wasn't (and neither was I) in that place were the inspectors were told to go. They just wasted their time when they drove there. Until this day no one has called and asked to see the dog. I never really assumed that it would happen, even though I secretly hoped that the person who made the complaint would have the balls to drag his/herself here. I've received tens of calls from people who support me instead, thank you for them. Actually I already laugh at the incident, even thought I still can't quite believe it. Just for you information, Ego is coming with me. Then all the people in the camp will see in what condition the dog is. Would I really have the guts to take it with me if it really was morbidly thin? Now I'll leave you to think about that... |
