Default New Finnish Family Member -- Need some translations!

Greetings all! I think I'm going to become a familiar name to those who speak Finnish around here. My father (American) recently married a woman from Finland who has a son, meaning that I now have a younger Finnish step-brother. I'm very excited with the idea of learning a new language, but the problem is, while she speaks pretty well in english, he does not. He knows the general stuff but from what I've heard has never really taken to trying to learn english. Therefore I find myself not being able to communicate when certain kinds of situations arise that require him to have a better understanding of english (or me with a better knowledge of Finnish).

We can communicate both in Finnish & English with the basic, "Hi, how are you today?" & so on... but when things get more casual in the every-day conversation sense, that's where we get hung up. So expect to see a lot of me on this board asking for help with translations!

So for starters... Could someone please tell me how to say, "Wake up, little brother. Your girlfriend needs you." ?

Thank you much!

This is kinda urgent, so I tried to build it myself... Could someone please tell me if this is correct? Thanks!

"Herätä, Pikkuveli. Sun tyttöystävä tarvitsee sua."

It's almost correct. It should be "Herää, pikkuveli...". "Herätä pikkuveli" means that you're telling somebody to wake him up.

You probably know already that those "sun" and "sua" are not standard language (sinun, sinua), but they are very commonly used anyway.

Pretty well.
