You are right about the Hollywood movies. They all seem to be maid after the same receipe and with few exceptions (Girl with a Pearl Earing, Red Violin...) I'm sick and tired of them.
As for Greek language I may say that it is very special to me. I have a feeling that one of my ancestors spoke it, because I feel it very familiar. For the moment although, I'm just a beginner in this field. And because we are writing in a music forum and a liitle bit about Greece I may add that I like byzantine music, including the secular one and also the bouzouki. Hope to see you around,

I think that you try to do all your best,Flavia.Good to see you correcting your tiny error.Concerning the music,it'd be fine to talk about literature and music, for example analogies and thoughts regarding the structure of a novel and the structures in the music of Bach,Haydn,Beethoven or Mozart et al.I wait to see your thougths.Regarding the Greek,do your best and persevere,my Romanian friend,it is beautiful.Perhaps you'll read a Greek novel in original
,as I try to read now 'Brothers Kharamazov' in Russian .All the best,Ioannis ![]()

Quote:
In the interbelium period when many authors experimented with form, the musicality of the novel was theorized and it appeared numerous programatic writings. An example is Aldous Huxley and his well-known "Point.Counterpoint" or Andre Gide whose fictitious novelist from "Les Faux-Monnayeurs", Edouard, confesses that in the architecture of his narration inspired himself from Bach's "Art of Fugue".(Romanian literature has also its examples). The musical technique applied to literature has to do with the polyphonic novel where every character is the bearer of a certain theme which is heard every time it enters the scene... But my words sound like some kind of lecture and I won't continue in this way. I'll conclude by saying that many authors based their writings on music. What do you say if we'll approach Beethoven's and Tolstoi's "Kreutzer Sonata"? PS: It's a great honour to me to call me your friend.
