Here are some useful and very frequently used time expressions.

1. Days of the week

PORTUGUESE ENGLISH
(a) segunda-feira Monday
(a) terça-feira Tuesday
(a) quarta-feira Wednesday
(a) quinta-feira Thursday
(a) sexta-feira Friday
(o) sábado Saturday
(o) domingo Sunday

Example:

PORTUGUESE ENGLISH
Tenho aula de aeróbica na quinta-feira. I have aerobics class on Thursday.
Eu não trabalho aos sábados. I do not work on Saturdays.


2. Months of the year

Example:

Example:

PORTUGUESE ENGLISH
O que você vai fazer hoje à noite? What are you going to do tonight?
Fomos à praia domingo passado. We went to the beach last Sunday.
