Default Brazil and its Regions part V - Southeast 1 - Espírito Santo

Hi, again people! Here I am to post my last part about the 5 regions in Brazil
Southeast is special for me because I live in
I divided this part V Southeast in 4 parts ( for each state).

This 1st part is about Espírito Santo state, but before I talk about it, let`s have an idea about the Southeast Region of Brazil.

STATES:
ESPÍRITO SANTO
RIO DE JANEIRO
MINAS GERAIS
SÃO PAULO

AREA:
927.286 km² .

Transportation
The Southeast Brazilian region is highly covered by highways - due to the policy in the Brazilian's economy in the 60s (automobilization of the country) -This led to the car's manufacturing to be a major industry not only in the region but in Brazil as well.
Southeast's highways are generally in good or very good conditions - some exceptions are made to the southern parts of the BR-101.

Climate:
Tropical along the coast, humid, hot in the summer and warm in the winter); Tropical in the northwest (warm, relatively dry in the winter and wet in the summer); Semi-arid in the north; Temperate in the south.
Well... Brazil is amazing concerning about climate and vegetation because of its size. So, when in the North/ Northeast region as well as Central Region are hot all year; the South is colder than the rest of the country in the winter, and it has a kind of "frost" (not snow like the one in Europe etc.) we call it "GEADA" but for us who are used to tropical climate, geadas can punish us a lot lol In São Paulo, Rio and Minas, cold is not so cold and summer is very hot.

ESPIRITO SANTO

Capital: Vitória
Economy: industries, agriculture

It is the biggest port complex in the country. This state is such beautiful to see as well as Rio. It has wonderful beaches and very nice people who are called "Capixaba" - the name given to a person from this state.
I have been there many times and one of my favorite things besides the beaches is to eat their typical and delicious "moqueca capixaba" - which is a dish made with = seafood, fish, tomato sauce, cream milk.
Some cities:
Vitória (an island), Vila Velha, Guarapari are some of the beautiful seashore cities among others.

Just the trip to this region is a nice ride. It is surrounded by montains since on its highway.
I imagined how amazed was Padre Anchieta, a priest (named Jesuíta in Portuguese) who helped settling the place by teaching religion to the indians`s when arrived there.
Its capital, Vitória has 500 year-old –history and among 11 ports, the most important one of Brazil is there.
There are also parks and lagoons in Espírito Santo which are worth knowing.
