I hope this is the right place to ask this quesiton...
I have been going through some of the websites that senni suggested for learning Turkish and found some information on future tense... Is there an equivalent 'ing ending in turkish? For example, if I'm trying to say "I will be waiting," as a respnse to someone that had to leave for a moment, ...I know that beklemek is 'to wait' so I would assume, "I will wait" is bekleyeceğim. Is that correct? However, I would like it to be the former... waiting instead of wait. Sorry to jump ahead, I'm just trying to incorportate some Turkish into my everyday language and this is what came up. ![]() Last edited by puslu; 02-16-2005 at 06:30 PM. |

I'd say, in that situation: seni bekliyorum.
or seni beklerim. or for a litteral translation of"I will be waiting," = seni bekliyor olacagim / seni bekliyor olurum. (but I don't like it...)
