I recently adopted a cat that bebelonged to a Russian woman. She named the cat "Kissunchick". I am told this is Russian. Can someone tell me what this means? Thanks!

This is just a very gentle variant of the word "cat". Suffix "-chick" means "cute, nice, little, pretty". "Kisa" is very often used word for cats, something like "kitty", or "pussycat" etc. So in the end, "name" of your cat can be "translated" as "pretty little cute pussicat" :D

I too have some phonetic Russian in need of translating, and would appreciate any help to accomplish this:
