I'm a French PhD student (defense of my thesis will be the 29 september 2004) and I search a postdoctoral position from october 2004. I read your ad and I very interest by the subject of your research. After my PhD, I wish find a postdoctoral position with a proteomic approach.
During four years, my work consisted on study the nuclear proteome of intestinal epithelial cells during the proliferation/differatiation states and to compare modifications with them provided by growth an extracellular matrix protein –the laminin-. I firt realize a map of nuclear proteins in the standard condition (collaboration with a mass specrtrometry laboratory in Strasbourg); secondly I compare with Pdquest software the differents maps obtained in the differents conditions (proliferation versus differentiation, standard proliferation versus proliferation with ECM). I find mainly downregulated proteins in the differentiated status and in the proliferation with ECM. Some of them were similar between the two conditions.
Finally, I focuse my study on single protein and I try to understand how the presence of the ECM influence the regulation of this protein (study of localization, transduction signals, partners, posttranslational modifications like phosphorylation,….) and could be implied in the differentiation process. My results ended at one publication in Proteomics journal and I prepare a second publication.
I'm a very motivated personn, independent and I search specially a postdoctoral position in a foreign country. In fact, it will allow me to enhance my scientific and technical skills, to progress in English and to discover another way of life.
