How many Space Invaders mosaics are in your neighbourhood ? Personally, I think five within a minute's walk of my flat and many more throughout Paris. Since 1998, the cities of the world undergo the same attack of an invader. This one appears in the public places with the shape of small mosaics coloured. They are grafted on the walls, pavements and buildings of the worlds four corners. These mosaics are like the Space Invaders characters, the ceramic reproducing perfectly the pixellized form of these small aliens.

The artist responsible of this invasion currently touching more than thirty-five cities is French and answers in the name of Invader or Space Invader. He plans each invasion in advance. He prepares his mosaics, studies the targeted city’s map, then acts very quickly. During approximately one week, he surveys of night the streets of the city, provided with its mosaics and cement. The finished invasion, he subjects all Invaders to a rigorous indexing by photographing them and in their allotting a number, a date, a position as well as a number of points. With their geometrical form, Space Invaders are hardly perceptible in the chaos of the cities. Once discovered, they create breaches of significance in the city where each sign generally has a well defined function. In Montpellier, if one traces an imaginary line between all Space Invaders posted in the city, one sees appearing giant Space Invader.

Some Space Invaders disappeared but with his acute sense of documentation, Space Invader indexes the damaged mosaics and draws with the stencil key set the trace of the missings. The transitory one and the permanent one meets in his practice because if urban art often has a precarious existence, the mosaic claims to perenniality.

Some Space Invaders have disappeared, but with his rigorous documentation, Space Invader indexes the damaged mosaics and, with the stencil key set, can trace the missing ones. The transitory and the permanent meet in his work, because if urban art often has a precarious existence, the mosaic claims perenniality.

A note: Please re-read to make sure I have not altered your meaning. I went with what I thought it said, so it may or may not say exactly what you had intended

bjr a tous j'aimerai bien qu'on me traduise se taxte anglais vers l'arabe:

two years ago, i felt in bones, as a dead certainly, that we were in our way to a world war III, and that would be fought whit termonuclear weapones, I had no idea as to when it would come, or how, but I was sure that it would come, sooner or later.

I thought we were well along in the same sequence of prewar years that had occured just before world war I, when international folly suddenly exploded to everyone's astonishment, whit no one realizing at that time how it had happened or what was to come. Or the same series of blundering, feckless years before the slower explosion of the world war II.

I could see no diferences in the public behaviour of statesmen and diplomats, or in the steady blind build-up of weapons, or the tone of international rancour.

two years ago, my greatest hope was I would not live to see it.

et je vous remercie d'avance
