The ringing of the alarm clock resounds in the small apartment of the inspector James Cooper posting 8h00. It was time to go to work. Old 40 years, he had spent all these years to track and stop robbers and killers. He did not complain any, since very small he had dreamed some so much. Hardly had he had time to take its shower that already the office called he. Once more he was pressed and this time, it's for a flies followed of a murder. After having prepared, it's famished and tired that he went on the scene of the crime, a jewellery located at the crossing of Henri Bourassa and Vanhorne.
An insane world was there; it cut through a path, greeted the police officers present, ordered small lunched at the assistant and was interested finally in the file that one had given to him. All the jewels of great values had been stolen during the night, all the panes had been broken and were spread on the ground. A man had died and lay further surrounded doctors. He looks to be 30 years old, died from a ball in the head, he had not suffered. The cameras of monitoring had been cut; therefore no scene could have been recorded. There was in the middle of the part a loop of blue ear silver plated of a priceless value and of a beauty without equal; it drew the attention of the inspector particularly. He took it and discreetly slipped it into the pocket of his jean without anybody seeing it.
Two weeks had been passed since the lies and the investigation did not have really advanced. It is in a lunched popular coffee by taking its small that one James morning seen a friend not carrying that a loop of ear resembling surprisingly that which it had collected a few days ago. It called it were greeted and after having spoken a little it questioned it on the origin of its jewels and why it missed one of them. The young woman seemed embarrassed and in tear it acknowledged her flies. Attentive with its sadness, it proposed an agreement to him: was the birthday of its wife tomorrow, in exchange of the second loop, he would leave with his friend freedom. It accepted and little by little, the investigation was forgotten, the inspector left the country, it too. Was the first time that James Cooper proceeded of the kind. But for a jewel with 8000$, it was him also close with all.

Bonsoir,

The alarm clock rang in the small apartment of inspector James Cooper, showing 8:00. It was time to go to work. Forty years old, he had spent all these years to track down and arrest robbers and killers. He did not complain about it because, when a child, he had dreamed of it so much. Hardly had he had the time to have a shower when the office called him already. Once more he was pressed and this time, it was for a theft and a murder. Starving and tired, he got ready and went to the crime scene, a jeweller's shop located at the crossing of Henri Bourassa and Vanhorne.
A lot of people were there. He elbowed his way, greeted the police officers here present, ordered some breakfast and finally got interested in the file that he had been given. All the jewels of great value had been stolen during the night, all the panes had been broken and were spread on the ground. A man had died and lay further away surrounded by doctors. He looked 30 years old, had died from a bullet in the head, he had not suffered. The surveillance cameras had been stopped; therefore no scene could have been recorded. In the middle of the room there was a blue silver plated earring of priceless value and matchless beauty. It particularly drew the inspector's attention. He picked it up and discreetly slipped it into the pocket of his jean without anybody seeing it.

Two weeks had passed since the burglary and the investigation had not really made progress. One morning, as he was having breakfast in a popular bar, James saw a friend of his who was wearing just one earring surprisingly similar to the one he had picked up a few days ago. He called her, invited her to his table and questioned her about the origin of her jewel and asked her why one was missing. The young woman seemed embarrassed and, bursting into tears, she acknowledged her theft. He was touched by her sadness and proposed a deal to her: tomorrow was his wife's birthday, in exchange for the second earring, he would let his friend free. She accepted and little by little the investigation was forgotten. The inspector left the country, so did she. It was the first time that James Cooper behaved that way. But for a jewel worth 8000$, he was ready for anything..
