I have some problem with this translation in well-formed english: [...] before to be the title of the celebrated best seller author from the U.S.A[...] Any help?

I would say "...Before being a best selling author from the U.S.A...".

Or you could say "...Before he became a best selling author from the U.S.A..."
"...Before he was known as a best selling author from the US..." "...Before he gained the title of best selling author in the US.." It really depends on the content of what you are writting about... let meknow if I have helped
