HI everybody! Happy new year!!!!
I'm here to ask some help. ![]() It would be very kind if someone could correct the following text: a debate about public vs state schools in the U.K.: here are the pros of public schools. (i'm talking after a guy who is against public school) "I don’t see it. In my opinion, the misunderstanding problems between political leaders and population is not public school’s fact. Either public or state schools create intellectual elites, both have sometimes communications issues. The main difference is the environment in which those elites are evolving. I’m talking about education. Public school offers more individual teaching, for sure, but it also offers a better range of activities : more time for organised sports, more emphasis on achievement, whether academic, sporting, musical, dramatic or artistics. Although educational achievement is excellent, public schools invest heavily in sporting, musical and art facilities. Fees are expensive to attend a public school, but the education you receive worth it. I’m also talking(thinkin ?)about people you’re evoling with. Public school provides a wider interest for the school, less drug-taking guys, less rejection of the school values such as violence, academic dishonesty, academic misconduct as you can find in state schools. You wouldn’t notice such behaviors in Eton, Harrow, Westminster or Rugby (which is the home of the eponymous sport though). This is the best environment to improve your skills, your charism, to improve yourself. You’re instructed, graduated, educated, and you also belong to a Network, even after your scholarship, like (another guy in the group) said. I’m not gonna blame state schools, Mr X, but we need public schools. Political leaders, for instance, must not be ordinary people. They have to face serious issues, that can’t be faced by anyone. Public school is way better than state school in order to provide a proper education in addition with an excellent instruction." Thank you all, and special thanks for this forum!
