Projet de plaque commémorative pour Jack Phillips à Clifden (Irlande)

J'aimerai vous faire part d'un projet qui me tient à coeur. Je suis passionnée par l'histoire de Jack Phillips, chef opérateur radio du RMS Titanic qui a envoyé des messages de détresse aux autres bateaux et est resté à son poste jusqu'à 3 minutes de la fin. Il n'a pas survécu au naufrage et a péri à l'âge de 25 ans.

Il y est resté plus de 3 ans.
Une plaque a été érigé à Derrygimla en l'honneur de Gugielmo Marconi et Clifden a célébré le 100ème anniversaire (... ) Donc c'est prit au sérieux.

Il y a plusieurs mémoriaux en l'honneur de Jack à Godalming, Farncombe sa ville natale où je suis allée 2 fois et à New-York ( à Battery Park ). J'aimerai honorer sa mémoire par la pose d'une plaque commémorative à Clifden si possible au même endroit où se trouve celle de Marconi.

Je compte aller à Clifden au mois d'avril, j'ai écrit à la British Titanic Society et à l'Irish Titanic Historical Society.
Peut-être faire une pétition. Avez-vous d'autres idées ?

I would like to inform of plan which is close to my heart. I have a passion for Jack Phillips's story, Chief Wireless Telegraphist of the RMS Titanic who sent distress signals to other ships and stayed at his post until 3 minutes before the vessel foundered. He didn't survived the sinking and perished aged 25.

In 1908, Jack was transferred to the Marconi transatlantic station at Clifden on the Irish coast where he worked as an operator transmitting and receiving messages to and from the Marconi sister station at Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. He stayed there more than 3 years.

A plaque unveiled at Derrygimla in honour of Gugielmo Marconi and Clifden celebrated 100th anniversary of the first commercial wireless transmission across the Atlantic was sent to Newfoundland ( Canada). So, it taked seriously.
There are several memorial in honour of Jack to Godalming, Farncombe his native town where I went twice and New-York ( at Battery Park ). I would like to honour his memory by hanging commemorative plaque at Clifden if it's possible to the same place... Marconi

I will go to Clifden in April 2008, I writed to the British Titanic Society and Irish Titanic Historical Society. Maybe to create a petition. Have you got any other ideas ?

Corrections et ajouts en majuscules.
Ne connaissant pas l'importance des lieux mentionnés, j'ai choisi d'utiliser la préposition IN à la place de AT.
En règle générale, on emploie AT devant des noms de villages ou bourgades sans importance et IN devant des noms de villes plus importantes, voire importantes.
A revoir donc si besoin est.

Je choisirais "GreenPeace", j'apporterais mon aide a l'environnement.Je ferais en sorte de reduire les dechets dans le monde et expliquer au gens ce qu'il ne faut pas faire: pour empêcher le rechauffement climatique.J'expliquerais à la population de ne pas utiliser la voiture lors de petits trajet par exemple si le lieu de travail est proche de l'habitation ou pour aller faire les course, dans ce cas là il est mieux de prendre les transports en communs, un vélo ou même de marcher.Essayer d'utiliser le moins possible les chauffages hiver comme été, penser à éteindre la lumière lorsqu'une personne sort d'une pièce, trier ses dechets, éviter de prendre l'avion, prendre une douche au lieu d'un bain.J'empecherais la deforestation, l'utilisation d'engrais naturelles et de pesticides.

I'll choose " Greenpeace ", I'll bring my help to environment. I'll do my best to reduce garbages in the world and explain to people what they don't have to do : in the aim of warning them about global warming. I'll explain to people they don't have to use their car for short trips, for example if your work place is not far away from their home or go shopping, in this case, that's better to take the bus, metro, tramway, to ride their bike or even walk. Try to use the less possible heatings as winter as summer, to intend lighting off when somebody goes out, to pick aver their garbages, to avoid taking planes, to take a shower in place of a bath. I'll stop them doing the deforestation, use of natural fertilizers and pesticids.

1 Ne te greffe pas dans un fil existant, au risque de passer inaperçu.
2 Propose toujours ta propre solution d'abord, même si tu penses avoir des difficultés à y parvenir.
