Hello everybody,
I'm just asking for a little help about an expression I'm not sure to understand. Is there something hiding in the expression "open up for an artist". The sentence is : "Hybrid Theory opened up for Cypress Hill" Can anybody help me? to explain me or to translate it into French ? Thanks in advance Marion |

Is this a headline? If so, "opened up" will be a passive form, with the auxiliary verb omitted, as is normal in newspaper headlines: e.g. "Three killed in road accident." So Hybrid Theory (whatever that is!) "is opened up" or "has been opened up". "Open up" in this context means "reveal" or "explain".
Does this make sense? |
